Society has great expectations for the utilization of natural energy such as photovoltaic
and wind power and for making the most of untapped energy sources such as exhaust heat.
CRIEPI develops technologies to utilize natural energy such as photovoltaic, wind,
geothermal and hydro power. CRIEPI also develops thermo-electric power generation technologies such as
cogeneration to utilize exhaust heat.
Other research includes work on the utilization of new energy resources including hydrogen energy
and biomass (biological resources).
