   [Installed : February in 2003]

[Summary] This system consists of an Extraction Line to extract and purify noble gases from groundwater and rock cores and a Mass Spectrometer to quantify the purified noble gases.

[Objective] To measure the groundwater age(residence time of the groundwater) based on amount of dissolved noble gases(helium , neon , argon , etc.)in groundwater.

[Specification] Noble gas extraction line :
Finger type Ti getter 3 sets
Finger type charcoal trap 2 sets
Ti getter pump 3 sets
Cryostat 2 sets
Molecular turbo pump 2 sets
Rotary pump 4 sets
