On April 10, a ceremony was held for the signing of the Basic Agreement Concerning Research Cooperation between Japan Nuclear Fuel Limited and CRIEPI in Otemachi, Tokyo. Up to the present, research cooperation has been undertaken based on the Letters and Memoranda of Agreement. However, in order to carry out the research cooperation required for smooth operation of the nuclear fuel cycle project, it was deemed necessary to revise the content of the agreement.

After the signing ceremony, the representatives of the Nuclear Technology Research Laboratory, the Civil Engineering Research Laboratory and the Nuclear Fuel Cycle Backend Research Center (BEC) immediately conducted a meeting covering the agreement.
