Dr. Apostolakis and Dr. Meserve visited the headquarters of the Kansai EPCO. They were informed of the status of Kansai’s nuclear power plants and the voluntary efforts for the improvement of nuclear safety. Mr. Iwane and Dr. Apostolakis discussed topics such as risk communication, the dialogue between regulator and industry, and the trial of risk information utilization in maintenance works.
