In light of the progress in the construction and regulatory review of the Ohma Nuclear Power Plant, expectations were shared for NRRC’s continued support in advancing the use of risk information and developing the technical basis for the future construction and operation phases.

Views and opinions were also exchanged regarding the current status of nuclear regulation in Japan following the accident at the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station, and the importance of utilizing risk information in regulation, drawing on knowledge from overseas.
