From scarce energy to plentiful energy! At university, Tomoyuki Yamada worked on research mathematically analyzing hard-to-predict non-linear events. The key to research in this field is whether one can find a persuasive hypothesis. After joining CRIEPI, he developed an interest in the changing energy business, and has explored new business models such as VPP and estimated long-term changes in the energy system. He has fun just thinking about various aspects of the future of this hard-to-predict industry.
