Striving for stable supply for a new era Yuki Izumida is researching reactive power control as a technology to counter effects on power quality due to voltage fluctuations caused by inverse load flow when large amounts of solar power generation are interconnected. He is also working on functions to detect isolated operation of power conditioners and measures to counter failure relating to voltage flicker, and he is continuing studies on power quality assurance and protection in preparation for adoption of large amounts of renewable energy.
