The sensitive piezoelectric material for high temperature ultrasonic probe is required to monitor the equipment of thermal power plants. We evaluated the piezoelectric properties of lithium niobate, langasite, bismuth calcium titanate and the gallium phosphate at 650 degree by using an impedance analyzer. Then, we made the probes using the piezoelectric materials and evaluated the ultrasonic wave signal characteristics. It has been understood that the electromechanical coupling factor of the lithium niobate is larger than other piezo-electric materials in 26.5 % and steadier for 500 hours at 650 degree. It has been understood that the sensitivity of the lithium niobate probe is -27.3 dB at 650 degree which is higher than other probes, and steadier for 500 hours at 650 degree.
