情報通信ビジネスにとって、地方公共団体は、非常に魅力的なマーケットの一つと考えられる。地方公共団体による地域情報化施策は、今後の着実な進展とそれによる新たな市場が期待されている。電気事業が計画する情報通信ビジネスのターゲットを絞込むことを目的に、地域情報化施策の実施が有望視される地方公共団体を、地域の統計データを用いて抽出する方法を開発した。この方法は、サポートベクトルマシシン（ＳＶＭ）を用いたデータマイニング手法をベースとしたもので、システムは抽出に最も有効な地域の統計データを推薦する。数種類の地域情報化施策について、この手法を用いて分析を行い、再現性のある抽出結果を得た。

概要 （英文）

The local authority sector is one of most attractive market for the information and telecommunication business. It is much anticipated that local authorities accelerate informatization activities and a new market of their activities is created.To narrow down the candidate local authorities as business targets, we developed an extraction method of promising authorities using their statistic area data. This method is based on data mining technique utilizing the support vector machine (SVM). The system recommends effective statistic area data items in the process of extraction.We conducted analysis for several kinds of informatization activities. In many cases the system extracted reproducible result.
