国内外において検討が進められているスマートメータについて，その通信ネットワークの物理網構成に関する調査を行った。また，当所で検討を行っている需要地系セキュア通信ネットワークの物理網構成を例示するとともに，評価課題を明らかにした。
需要地系セキュア通信ネットワークの基礎的な実験的評価を通じ，大規模ネットワークに適した通信制御方式の開発や，通信特性予測手法の開発が重要である。

概要 （英文）

Smart meters and smart grid are being studied around the world. Several communication systems for smart grid are proposed according to the situation in which smart meters are located. CRIEPI has proposed Demand-Area Secure Communication Network, which requires reliable communications for a large number of equipment at low cost.
In this report, we summarize the trend of communication systems for smart grid, and show the issues concering the construction and evaluation of the communication systems.
It is important to construct a communication control method and communication characteristics prediction method for communication network of smart grid which includes large number of equipments.
