Service management functions and network management functions are constructed based on composition of off-the-shelf components which provide general functions. However, objects in the off-the-shelf components have to be redesigned in case of satisfying operator's requirements which emerge after construction of a network management system, and need functions not provided by the components. This type of object redesign causes components to be specific, and constructions to be more expensive. In order to satisfy operator's requirements without modifications of off-the-shelf components, we propose RevCompo, which are midget software components.A RevCompo component receives the only message to be customized and executes additional functions using the same interface of the off-the-shelf component. RevCompo components can add new functional elements to off-the-shelf components,and/or modify/delete function elements provided by off-the-shelf components.
