電気の使用状況から独居高齢者を見守るシステムを開発するため、家庭の総負荷電流から居住者が主体的に行った電気機器の操作の有無を推定する方法を開発した。主な成果は以下のとおり。(1) 総負荷電流の変化の累積度数分布から居住者が主体的に行った電気機器の操作の有無を推定する方法を考案した。パラメータを適切に設定することによって、自動的にオン・オフを繰り返す冷蔵庫や温水便座のヒータなどの影響を抑えて、総負荷電流から居住者が主体的に電気機器の操作を行った時間帯を推定できる。(2) この方法を用いた独居高齢者見守りシステムを実際の独居高齢者宅に設置し、独居高齢者の挙動（生活状態）を有効に把握しうることを検証した。

概要 （英文）

In order to develop a watching system for a single aged person by grasping his or her usage of electricity, we developed a method to infer whether residents have independently operated electric appliances or not from total load current of the household. The Main Results are as follows:(1) We invented a method to infer whether residents have independently operated electric appliances or not from a cumulative frequency distribution of change in total load current of the household. By setting up the parameters adequately, It enables us to infer a time zone in which the residents have independently turned on or off the electric appliances, suppressing influences of a refrigerator and/or a toilet seat with water heater which repeat turned on and off automatically.(2) We installed a watching system equipped with the method in a household of a single aged person and verified we could effectively grasped her state of life with it.
