企業の環境問題への取り組みに関する重要性が高まっている。一方、その取り組みが経済価値の創出に貢献しなければ実施する根拠は脆弱なものとなるが、環境への取り組みと経済価値の関係について、これまでの研究では整合的な結論は得られていない。そこで本稿では、企業の環境への取り組みと経済効率の関係に関するポーター仮説について文献と実証分析から検証し、電気事業の環境経営について考察する。

概要 （英文）

Environmental management has become one of the most important factor of corporate social responsibility. However, if the environmental management does not produce any financial value, the reason for the implementation is not solid to continue such an effort. This study examined relationship between environmental management and firms' value creation by reviewing a literature of Porter hypothesis. In addition, this study conducted an empirical study using a dataset consisting of seven Japanese industries such as iron and electricity.
