Profile

Since 2009 she has been engaged in comparative analysis of retail electricity pricing regulation and revenue cap regulation for transmission and distribution sectors across Japan, Europe and the United States. Her research has covered competitive assessments of electricity retail markets and the relationship between regulatory frameworks and competition law. She also holds an interest in the effects of deregulation and privatisation in other public utilities (aviation, railways, water supply) on capital investment and pricing.
